Proposal Process

The Phase 1 proposal process follows these key steps:

  1. Proposal Creation: Security Council members formally initiate proposals for protocol changes, addressing operational needs or incorporating community suggestions.
  2. Public Discussion: All proposals are published in the governance forum where community members can:
    • Ask questions about the proposal
    • Suggest modifications or improvements
    • Express support or concerns
    • Provide technical feedback
  3. Temperature Check: For significant proposals, the community participates in a forum poll to gauge initial sentiment.
  4. Snapshot Vote: Based on discussion and temperature check results, the proposal advances to a formal Snapshot vote where all GIZA token holders can participate without gas costs.
  5. Implementation: Proposals that achieve established quorum and approval thresholds by the Security Council are implemented, with execution details announced to the community.

Community Influence in Phase 1

Community members can influence the Phase 1 governance process by:

  • Suggesting ideas in the forum that Security Council members may adopt into formal proposals.
  • Actively participating in proposal discussions.
  • Voting on Snapshot proposals.
  • Providing technical review of proposed implementations.
